Showed up at 2:40 to see the zoo animals and without consideration was told by staff that the room was at max capacity. Why even have a event like that in a small room if your just going to turn down 35+ kids. So unprofessional, unfair, rude, unorganized. At least make it fair and only let groups of kids in for 15 mins at a time. I've had nothing but bad experiences at this library for six years now. There's always homeless people out front that leave the front of the building trashy and dirty. Just look at the tables and around the tables out front, it's disgusting. They need someone to come clean with a pressure washer. I've even seen the homeless sleeping inside in chairs and on the couch in the childrens book area! They can't keep the same staff, staff they hire is rude, always says I don't know, they don't smile or seem eager to help you, you don't get asked him how are you doing did you find everything alright. Most of the kids movies are scratched and don't play. Super disappointed and going to join a different location.

I must be the only person who does not care about homeless people being at the library. Like wow. How insensitive. If they had some place to go do you think they would be at the library? They don't bother anyone just being around. Smh. But I loveLOVE this library. My kids love the play aways and all the kids books and computers. My toddler can be rowdy sometimes and they're accommodating as well and nobody has made me feel unwelcome or hasn't helped me or my older kids find the books the need. Good library for what we need as a family.
Nice, clean library...however, it was hard to focus on my studies due to the loud conversations the staff were having. Did not keep in mind some people, like myself, can't focus while people are having loud conversations. Other than that, this library would have been a nice studying spot (:
Good library, I don't live in garland and visited here. Main issue for me is that you can't use wifi without having a library card, other than that no problems at all. The staff were really polite and helpful
